A new needle cartridge is utilized for each patient treated. The needle tip plate moves up and down continuously, driven by the oscillation of a tumbler plate within the handpiece. Manufacturers indicate that this movement achieves a full stroke length of up to 3mm, allowing the needle to fully retract from the skin during operation, thereby minimizing dragging and tissue tearing. This process creates thousands of micro-needle columns in the skin that close rapidly, initiating cellular change and regeneration to repair the tiny damaged areas. The needle insertion stimulates skin cells for renewal, such as keratinocytes, fibroblasts, and growth factors, promoting new collagen production and the repair of skin layers. The needle length can be adjusted in0.1mm increments during treatment twisting the upper part of the handpiece, allowing for penetration depths of 0 to 1.5mm. The needle speed is also adjustable the control unit display, ranging from 50 to 150 insertions per second in 10-increment steps.
