About eDermaStamp

COMFORTABLE TREATMENT, ENHANCED RESULTS

Unlike other needling technologies, the medical-grade micro-needles of eDermaStamp® by Dermaroller® are non-traumatic, cone-shaped needles that strategically displace the skin during the puncture process. This creates a micro-wound that seals within minutes of treatment. These precision-manufactured needles reduce the occurrence of undesirable micro-needling side effects such as bruising, swelling and significant downtime.

At 150 strokes per second, the eDermaStamp® can safely glide over the skin without scratching or tearing the skin. Poor-quality micro-needling pens traditionally operate at 100-120 strokes per second. This slower insertion rate can cause scratches and micro-tears in the tissue as the tip moves across the face. Respecting the integrity of the epidermis and dermis, eDermaStamp® uses fast, atraumatic (non-traumatic) perforations to gently trigger the generation of new tissue. Any micro-needling treatment has shown in clinical studies to be approx. 80% more effective in collagen production and cellular turnover when vitamin ABC packs are used two weeks prior to and after each session.

TREATMENT REGIME

The time taken for a treatment session will depend upon the size of the area and indication being treated, e.g., face, neck, décolletage, etc.; an individual session should last between 30-60 minutes.

The number of treatments needed will vary depending on the skin complaint being addressed, however, a treatment programme would normally consist of three to six individual treatments with approximately four to six weeks between them for skin rejuvenation. Treatment targeting acne or other types of scarring may need more sessions.

HOW DOES IT WORK

A new needle cartridge is used per patient treated.

The needle tip plate moves up and down, driven by the oscillation of a tumbler plate within the handpiece, in a continuous operation. The manufacturers note that this occurs with a full stroke length of up to 3mm, meaning that the needle can be fully retracted from the skin whilst in operation, thus minimising dragging and tissue tearing.

This action creates thousands of micro-needle columns in the skin, which close very quickly and start the process whereby the skin starts processing cellular change/regeneration, repairing the tiny damaged areas. The insertion of the needles stimulates the cells in the skin needed for renewal, such as keratinocytes, fibroblasts and growth factors, which encourage the production of new collagen and renew and repair the skin layers.

The needle length is adjustable throughout the course of the treatment in increments of 0.1mm by twisting the upper portion of the handpiece from 0 to 1.5mm depth of penetration. The needle speed is also adjustable via the display on the control unit, ranging from 50 to 150 insertions per second, adjusted in increments of 10. This allows the practitioner to manage the level of trauma and subsequent healing response depending on the area and targeted indication.

It is recommended that the eDermastamp™ be used with a proprietary glide medium.

NOT TO BE USED IN...

As long as you are generally healthy and don’t have any active skin diseases or infections in the area treated, there are few medical reasons why you should not undergo this treatment.

Tell your practitioner if you have a history of conditions such as cold sores.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women, although not contra-indicated for treatment, you may be advised to wait before commencing treatment.
