You arrive, you're shown to a chair, someone starts working on you — and there's another client waiting. Your appointment has an end time that's already been decided by the booking after yours. If you'd like five more minutes of massage, or your skin needs something slightly different to what was booked, that's a conversation which costs someone somewhere. So it doesn't happen.
That model works fine. It's efficient, and plenty of salons do it well.
It just isn't the only way — and for skin treatments, it isn't always the better way.

One Client At A Time — And Why It Changes The Treatment
When you're the only client booked in that slot, the treatment gets my full attention.
Your appointment starts on time. I don't double-book. If you're booked for 10am, 10am is yours — nobody's running over in front of you, and nobody's waiting on you at the end.
The treatment is done properly. Your slot is reserved for you, so the work isn't compressed to make room for a queue behind you.
I can adjust the plan on the day. Skin doesn't always behave the way it did last time. If yours is reactive, or needs a different approach, we change it — because the time is already yours.
You can ask anything. Most people have questions about their skin they've never asked, because asking feels like holding someone up. Here, there's no one to hold up.
It's genuinely quiet. No music competing with three conversations. For massage, needling and facials, that quiet isn't a luxury — it's part of how the treatment works.
Appointments run to a fixed time, and that's deliberate. I keep a short gap between clients so I can reset the room, change linen and prepare properly for whoever's next. It's why your appointment starts on time — and it's the same reason I ask that you arrive at your booked time. Arriving late eats into your own treatment, and I won't shorten it to catch up. A little notice if you're running behind helps us both.
30 Years, And The Same Two Hands Every Visit
Every treatment at House of Beauty WP is performed personally by me. Not handed to a junior, not swapped to whoever's free.
I've been in the beauty industry for over 30 years, and in Wellington Point since 2010.
There's a version of this industry where you build a big team and the owner manages rather than treats. I've deliberately gone the other way — one therapist, one client, treatments planned around your skin rather than a rota. It means I know your skin. Not your file. Your skin.
What We Treat
Everything is offered with the same one-on-one approach.
Skin treatments — advanced and holistic facials, and skin needling. Needling is one of the few non-invasive treatments that genuinely changes skin structure, working on acne scarring, texture, enlarged pores and fine lines. It's a course rather than a one-off, because collagen takes time to rebuild.
Brows and lashes — shaping, tinting, hybrid brows, lash extensions and lash tinting. Brow colour is mixed by hand to suit your hair, your skin tone and how your brows sit in daylight.
Massage and relaxation — Swedish relaxation massage from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours, aromatherapy massage, Indian head massage and pamper packages.
Waxing — facial and body, for women and men, in a private treatment room.
Makeup — event and special occasion makeup, and personalised makeup lessons with a product credit so you leave with products that suit you.
Professional skincare and cosmetics — the same brands I use in the treatment room are available to take home, so results continue between visits.
Why Privacy Suits Some Treatments Better Than Others
Some services genuinely work better in a private setting, and it's worth being specific about why.
Skin needling leaves skin red and sensitive for 24 to 48 hours. Most people would rather not walk out into a busy salon reception afterwards. Here you let yourself out.
Massage works by calming the nervous system. That's difficult in a room where you can hear the next appointment being discussed.
Waxing is the treatment people are most self-conscious about. A private treatment room with one therapist, no interruptions, changes the whole experience.
Facials and skin consultations need a proper conversation. What's changed since your last visit, what you've been using, what's not working. That needs unhurried time.
What It Costs To Have It Private
Nothing extra. The treatment prices are the same as you'd pay for an equivalent service elsewhere — the difference is in how the time is spent, not what it costs.

We welcome clients from Wellington Point, Birkdale, Ormiston, Cleveland, Alexandra Hills, Thornlands, Capalaba, Victoria Point and across the Redlands Coast. Many of our regular clients travel from further afield, which is a compliment I don't take lightly.
